A new version of the Amiga flicker fixer is available. The device comes in two versions and can be used with the Amiga 1200, 4000, 4000T and the CD32. The Ur-Quan Masters is a project to bring the classic game "Star Control II" to modern systems. The game is a story-driven space exploration adventure game that included diplomacy with the inhabitants of the galaxy and gathering resources. Version 0.7.0 is made by Fredrik Wikstrom and is now available for Amiga OS4.

The Scalos source code has been released as open source under BSD license. And Scalos goes AROS! Lots of work has been invested to port Scalos to AROS, and a first native build is available. Scalos is a desktop replacement for the Amiga. The goal of Scalos is to integrate a lot of additional functionality and an enhanced look without losing any of the look-and-feel we all love about the real Workbench.

KJetil Hvalstrand released a new version of Excalibur. Excalibur is a taskbar / start button for AmigaOS4. Version 1.0.0 supports the following: Textures, Real / Scale icons, Drag and drop, Sorted menu items, Quick screen switch buttons, Open drawers form start menu and much more.

Downfall is a new game for the Commodore Amiga. The game is based on the Atari game Man Goes Down. In the game the platforms are going up and you need to fall down. If you are not quick enough you get squashed against the sealing, but you can also fall to your doom at the bottom. The game is made in Blitz Basic by Graham Humphrey (code), Predseda (graphics), Reynolds (music), wilshy (sound) and Lonewolf10 (level editor).

Dweller used his Amiga in the late 80s and early 90s. He has about 5000 3,5" diskettes from that period. He tried to archive the diskettes by hand, but that took too much time. Then he tried to build a automated device from LEGO, but that did not function very well. The most recent version works perfect, Dweller used an old diskette duplicator, a Kryoflux and a Arduino micro controller. He also added a digital photo camera to take a picture of each diskette label.

SketchBlock is a drawing program for AmigaOS. The aim of this project is to create a sophisticated application for digital painting. Changes in this version: Bitmap brushes with small previews. Tool presets with the help of a ARexx scripts. Custom Start-up and exit scripts can be made and used. Many bug fixes, tweaks and new commands.

Mfilos is working on a new project for one of his Amiga's. He installed a ATI Radeon 9200 (256MB RAM) graphics card in his Amiga 4000. The main problem with this type of graphics card is that the card needs a 3.3 VDC power supply. Mfilos added a LM1084 3.3V regulator to the card and now the card is recognised by the Amiga 4000. Sqrxz 3 is now available for Amiga OS4 and AROS. Sqrxz and his girlfriend were on a romantic adventure journey in a jungle somewhere here on our planet. All of a sudden Yve gets kidnapped by an evil power and Sqrxz is forced to collect dozens of shiny little rings to free her. The old ruins he has to explore are anything else than safe. On the 7th of April 2012 Zach Weddington will be doing a film-shoot for the movie Viva Amiga in the Netherlands. On this special day AmigaScene.nl will organise an Amiga Party.
The venue for the party will be the big theatre hall of CKC in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands. There will be a big screen with demo's, graphics and other Amiga related content. The hall will have a demo-scene look, and yes you can bring your own Amiga. The more the better! There will be people from the Amiga world in the Netherlands such as Jan van Die (Amiga Magazine) and François Boulangé (Lingo).
