Vicious SID Converter
Kananga is working on a conversion program that will make VIC-20 versions of SID music. The converter is based on the Aleksi Eeben's SID Emu and will work on a Commodore VIC-20 with an 8 kB memory expansion. You can now listen to examples he already made, such as Commando, Cybernoid, IK and Zoids.

Rethinking Art and the Machine
Schema (Leif Bloomquist) made a new music track. The music is made on a VIC-20 and was optimized with FL Studio (phaser/reverb/equalizer, mild overdrive). The music was made for the "Art and the Machine" (RAM) presentation. RAM is a showcase for artists who work with art and electronic technology, light, graphics, robots and virtual reality.

Fickle - VIC20
Malcolm Tyrrell made a new game for the Commodore VIC-20. The game "Fickle" is a real-time one-button puzzle game and is an entry for the Minigame Compo 2011. Malcom is also working on a NTSC version of the game and he wants to add a "teleporter" to the game in the future.

Theater of War III: Western Front 1918 - VIC20
Theater of War II: The Pacific is a strategy game for the Commodore VC-20 made by Ghislain. To play the game you need a (unexpanded) VIC-20 and a disk drive or an emulator. In the game you are a commander of the German Empire's army. Your task will be to take on the French forces as you advance to the Marne river, and then onwards to Paris. There is also a two-player option.
FE3 Task Switcher
Kananga released a new program for the Final Expansion 3. This program allows you to have up to eight virtual environments (tasks) on your VIC-20 with a FE3 simultaneously. The supervisor and SJLoad will be loaded at start up. You can create and reset tasks, switch between them by using the restore key or a SYS call, and you can save or load a task.

FE3 RAM Disk v0.8
Kananga has released an update for the FE3 RAM disk for the Commodore VIC-20. Change in this versions: Improvements for loading and saving data. The commands Scratch and Rename are now stable. Experimental support for REL files.

Theater of War II: The Pacific is a strategy game for the Commodore VC-20 made by Ghislain. To play the game you need a (unexpanded) VIC-20 and a disk drive or an emulator. In the game you are in the Pacific Ocean where you command the Imperial Japanese Navy against the American forces. You can achieve the ultimate victory if you complete all five levels. There is also a two-player option.
The Last VIC - VIC-20
Orion70 made a new game for the Commodore VIC-20. The game "The Last VIC" is an conversion from the Commodore C16 game "Earth Defender", made by R. Adling. The game uses the hi-res 160x192 graphics from Mike's Minigrafik extension. In the game you need to defend your home planet. You must destroy all the bombs with your canon. The game can be played on a real VIC-20 with 8KByte extra RAM or an emulator.
Blitz - Andriod
Caffeine Kid released a classic Commodore VIC-20 game for Andriod. The game Blitz was original written by Peter Calver for the Commodore PET and was named Air Attack. The game was later converted by Simon Taylor and published under the name Blitz. In the game you need to destroy a city with a small airplane. You can use your bombs to destroy the building but don not fly into the buildings.

FE3 RAM Disk v0.7
Kananga has released an update for the FE3 RAM disk for the Commodore VIC-20. Changes: Support for the wildcards ? and *. You can now replace a file with SAVE "@:name",13. Support for the command channel (15) with status, scratch and rename.

FE3 RAM Disk
Kananga is working on a RAM disk for the Commodore VIC-20 and the Final Expansion 3. This RAM disk makes use of the 512 kByte of extra RAM from the FE3 and will give you a virtual disk with 1651 blocks free. At the moment Kananga is working on making the RAM disk faster, but you can try the beta version.

Takeover - VIC20
Takeover is a game for the Commodore VIC-20 made by Orion70. The game is a conversion of the C64 version made by Humphrey Walwyn in 1984. In this strategy game you must try to take over the government. You must defeat the evil president Xerxes by taking over as many buildings as you can. To play the game you need a VIC-20 with 16 kByte extra RAM or an emulator.
Diamond Hunt 2
Greyhost (Rob) has released a game for the Commodore VIC-20. He wrote the game many years ago in BASIC, but he now re-wrote the game in machine language with the help of CBMprg Studio. It is an arcade/maze type of game. Grab the diamonds and escape before the monsters get you. Increasing difficulty as you progress (more, faster, and smarter monsters).
Realms of Quest I: Anniversary Edition
Ghislain released a special edition of Realms of Quest I. In this version the following changes: User-friendly instructions, Unique names for each of the 36 magic spells, Better interface, display and text. The game can be played on a unexpanded VIC-20 + disk drive or with a Commodore VIC-20 emulator. Instructions and a "Book of Beasts" can be read from the main game menu.

Thomas Lövskog is working on a new cartridge for the Commodore VIC-20. Tokra released a demo for the Commodore VIC-20 on the Revision 2011 party in Germany, and it reached the 5th place in the "wild" category . The demo is a slide show that uses a new graphics-mode. This mode offers 104 x 256 pixels and 3 fixed colors in each of the 256 lines plus 1 color per 4 x 8 block. The hardware requirements are a VIC-20 (PAL) with a 16K RAM expansion.
CardSwipe
CardSwipe is a game for the Commodore VIC-20 and the C64. In the game you must collect one card of each type (Ace, King, Queen and Jack) from a 4 x 4 matrix of colored cards. You can play with four players and you can earn more points if you collect cards with the same color.

Jonathan Andrews (DrewSoft) released a new game for the Commodore VIC-20. Balls to the Walls is an action game where you break through barriers. The game has 34 screens and can be played with a VIC-20 and a 16 kByte expansion or a emulator. If you succeed to get all 34 levels you can play them again at greater speed.
MAXIGRAFIK
MAXIGRAFIK is a BASIC extension which provides true 208x256 pixel high-resolution graphics on a PAL VIC-20. The program is made by Mike and tokra and requires a Commodore VIC-20 with a 24 kByte RAM expansion. The Great Adventure
TGA (The Great Adventure) is a new game for the Commodore VIC-20. The game is a conversion of the C64 game from 1983 by Alessandro Castellari and can be played on a VIC-20 with a 24 kByte memory expansion. The conversion of TGA was done by Orion70 and Mike did the graphics and bootloader.

Jeffrey Daniels has released a new game for the Commodore VIC-20. In this game you must go left but you have to follow the joystick movements that are shown on the screen. The game can be played on a real VIC-20 or with an emulator. There is no memory expansion necessary but you will need a joystick to play Go Left.
Going Lowres
There is a new trackmo demo from TRSI called Going Lowres. The demo was made by Streetuff, Linus and Veto and won 6th place at the Breakpoint 2010 Wild Compo. To view the demo you need a Commodore VIC-20 with a 16k RAM expansion and a disk drive. For people without an 16k RAM expansion there is a music collection and logo on the diskette. You can also view the demo in the VICE emulator.
AntiISDA Warrior
drHirudo released a new game for the Commodore VIC-20. The game called AntiISDA Warrior is written entirely in assembler and can be played on a un-expanded VIC-20. The music for the game is made by Anders Carlsson and is a remix of Your Latest Trick by the Dire Straits. The game is also available for the: Amiga, Sinclair ZX Spectrum, Oric Atmos, Commodore 64, Coleco Vision, IBM-PC, Dragon 32, Game Boy, Sega Master System and the Game Boy Advanced.

MINIPAINT
Mike released a drawing program for the Commodore VIC-20. This pixel-oriented editor is divided into three windows: A scrolling window of 40x32 pixels (zoomed to 4 times), a window in original size and a status-, info- and help-window. The program supports hi-res, and multi-colour for each (4/8)x16 cell. The pictures are PAL/NTSC compatible and contain a stand-alone viewer.

Orion70 made a Commodore VIC-20 version of the The Mystery of Silver Mountain adventure. The game was originally published in a type-in book and was made for the Commodore C64. The games uses the FAT40 system to produce 40 columns of text. To play the game you need a VIC-20 with a 24 kbyte memory expansion or the VICE emulator.
Realms of Quest III
Realms of Quest III is a new game for the Commodore VIC-20 developed by Hitfan. In the game you have to explore many dungeons and will encounter over 70 monsters. There are 40 magic spells, 8 races, 8 classes and many different weapons, armor, potions and special items. The game will be available in September via Psytronik software.

Michael Kircher made a Commodore VIC-20 version of the classic puzzle game Sokoban. The game can be played on a real (unexpanded) VIC-20 with a disk drive and a joystick or with the VICE-emulator. Sokoban was originally developed by Hiroyuki Imabayashi in 1982.
Lemonade - VIC-20
Orion70 made a conversion of the classic Commodore 64 game Lemonade for the VIC-20. This version works with the the FAT40 system to give you 40 columns text instead of 22. Your goal in this fun little game will be to make as much money as you can within the 12 summer weeks.

Psytronik released a new game for the Commodore VIC-20 called Carling the Spider. This is a multi-screen platform game. Pasi Ojala released a new demo for the VIC-20. This demo runs on a un-expanded VIC-20 with a disk drive. The music for this demo was made by Anders Carlsson. All the parts of the demo are explained on Pasi's web page, there is a NTSC and PAL version of the demo and the source codes are also available.
Ouranos 2
This game for the Commodore VIC-20 with a 8k memory expansion is made by Anders Carlsson. The original game (Weather War) was made for the Commodore PET and Orion70 made a 40 column version for the VIC-20. But Anders made a genuine 22 column version with color. The game and the BASIC listing can be downloaded.
Quikman 8K (VIC-20)
Robert Hurst made an improved version of his game Quickman. For this game, Quickman 8k, you will need an Commodore VIC-20 with an 8k memory expansion. You can also use the VICE emulator.
